Power Partner with brilliant Appearance

FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS presented by E.ON

Without strong partnerships, the great success of the FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS would be unthinkable. E.ON, one of Europe’s leading energy companies, will be a partner for the fifth time, and in 2019 will stand in the front row for the second time as a “presenter”.

Since the 15th anniversary of the FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS and the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall coincide in 2019, there is great anticipation of the special jubilee edition of the festival under the motto “Lights of Freedom”. E.ON, too, will once again put all its energy into the festival appearance and shine with dazzling ideas.

E.ON presents…

Back in 2018, E.ON had already inspired millions of festival visitors with its creative activities. From a photo competition on Instagram to a cool influencer video screening to a spectacular 3D video mapping competition on the TV tower – every event set a highlight. But in 2019 everything will be topped, you can be curious!

E.ON and the FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS have planned something extraordinary for the 15th festival birthday. Street art is the focus of the production and “Free your Energy!” is the tagline. Streetart artists from the European countries where E.ON is on the market spray shrill, colourful graffiti onto large screens for the festival. All that counts is passion and creativity! The pictures are digitalized and then shown in a unique show at the Hotel de Rome on Bebelplatz. If you also want to admire the originals, no problem! They will be exhibited during the event in the FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS gallery. The gallery is open until midnight and admission is free.

“The Festival of Lights makes top art accessible to everyone.”

What drives E.ON?

“What we particularly like about the Festival of Lights is that it makes top art accessible to everyone. Where else can you admire great light art of international standing without any costs or barriers”, explains Carsten Thomsen-Bendixen, Vice President Stakeholder Communications and Group Spokesman at E.ON, “We are proud to support a beacon of Berlin cultural life with the Festival of Lights. It is artistically challenging, but at the same time so colorful, surprising and full of emotional highlights that it brings a smile to the faces of millions of visitors from Berlin and all over the world.”
